Travel Photography

Nothing beats the smell of a new country, the sound of a different language or the first tantalising taste of exotic food. But, talent, combined with a deep understanding of artistic beauty can create travel images that explode from the frame, taking hold of the viewer and drawing them in to the experience - with sight alone.
Like many avid travellers, I have a collection of photos I misguidedly think of as brilliant. Really, they’re of destinations so stunning, that ‘point and shoot’ means you can’t go wrong (think the view of bridges from Letna Park, in Prague, or the New York skyline from the Hudson River).
Then I see images like these, by photographer Vince Valitutti, and, even if I haven’t been to the destination, I feel an instant attachment to it – with a desperate need to go…
His website shows a portfolio choc full of famous faces, like Nicholas Cage, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. As a movie stills photographer, he gets up close and personal with the stars – and it’s well worth a look.
But, it’s the Fine Art and Travel Photography that sucks you in, like a gripping movie, to the heart and soul of travel – from the unique perspective of an artist.
