Places We Return To...Time and Again

Do you have a favoured family holiday spot? A regular weekend getaway cabin? Beach towns calling you back for more?
As much as we travellers like new adventures, we're also drawn to the familiar, tried and tested paths. We can be absurdly loyal to slivers of coastline and memory filled night time haunts. Cosy restaurants contain hours of past fun and we seeth with disappontment if development lays its hands on previous hot spots.
Return visits occur regularly in the legendary cities of New York, Paris, Rome and London. Beach lovers leave their footprints yearly in the sands of Thailand, Bali and Mexico while families can spew forth tales of school holiday breaks in thousands of quiet, relaxed towns world wide.
I've visited Hervey Bay, Queensland Australia, for most of my life and the calm waters, smell of pine cones and easy vibe still draws me back.
In Europe, Venice tugs on my mind until I relent, spend the money and re-visit. London is always calling.
Which places tempt you to return?
