Gold Coast Restaurants
February 24th 2009 09:39
Once little more than a surfer's haven, specialising in corner store fish and chips, the Gold Coast has transformed into a city with food options galore.
Surfers Paradise remains the quintessential tourist trap, however, 'Circle on Cavill', with its big screen TV overlooking a grassy seating area, is a more stylish version.
'Kamikaze Teppanyaki' permeates the air with its delicious, Asian aromas while new kid on the block, 'Perle', awes diners with a striking silver and white interior, off-centre cutlery (like deceptive 'there's a hole in the bottom of my glass' tumblers) and live entertainment on Friday nights.
Broadbeach retains a local vibe and restaurants with long- held reputations flourish. Try 'Sage' for steak and seafood, '1 two 3' for mediterranean and 'no rules' dining and 'Alto Cucina and Bar'.
Along Marine Parade, '360', next to The Grand hotel, has fast become a local favourite. It offers broadwater views, a trendy lounge area away from the main dining space and a varied menu including tapas and gourmet pizzas.
The Gold Coast continues to speed towards a cultural revolution, with old venues merging into new, creating exciting destinations for foodies; which cater for locals and tourists alike. Check out Sage Restaurant for further information.

Your post on Gold Coast Restaurants barely scratches the surface, though.
I'm glad you mentioned Broadbeach, some great resturants there including Oberoi's Taj. It was voted best Indian last year, and Moo Moo best steak.
Great Hinterland Restaurants include Songbirds at Mount Tambourine and Lurleens at Siromet Winery.
Tedder Avenue, Coolangatta, and Sanctuary Cove have some good restaurants. Oscars at Burleigh has great seafood. Fellinis at Marina Mirage has fantastic Italian fare.
In a Tourism destination it's not surprising there are high standards. It depends on what people are willing to pay. For a comprehensive view of Gold Coast Restaurants, food shows and awards check out Rawfish.com.au
P.S If you insert a hyperlink to the restaurants websites you increase your traffic and further inform your readers.
