Where's Your Favourite Beach?

My Top Three:
MAIN BEACH, GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA
With an endless stretch of white sand, clean surf and suburbs like Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach providing restaurants, shops and accommodation a stones throw from the waves, the Gold Coast hits all the right notes for a beach holiday.
Main Beach, a five minute drive north of Surfers Paradise, has its own busy hub near the Main Beach Surf Club, but, north of this towards 'The Spit' (sea wall), it's possible to find a wide expanse of sand all to yourself - giving you the best of both worlds.
PHI PHI ISLAND, THAILAND
Huge limestone cliffs greet you as you enter a lagoon with turquoise waters lapping at a jungle fringed beach. Only a 45 minute boat trip from Phuket, Phi Phi Island and its surrounds have been used as the backdrop for endless movies - and it really does look just as good off screen as on.
THE MALDIVES
The Indian Ocean offers the world many island delights, but none so luminous as The Maldives. This amazing coral atoll environment, no matter which resort you choose, is the tropical island fantasy of everyone's dreams. The colour of the water around the lagoons can sear your eyes with a bright, fluroescent glow and the white, powdery sand of the beaches beg to be slept on.
